You have no idea how simple it is to make Paneer Tikkas.......
We've been going around restaurants for years in search of really good paneer tikkas......
Not knowing that it is so easy to make that even a complete novice can do it.
& all the ingredients for it are stuff that are normally available at home always.
This version of the tikka will make any Five Star restaurant proud.
It's really chatpata & Awesome !!!
Do try it out when you have your friends over next......Or, why wait ! Just make it.
Ingredients
paneer - 2 cups, cut into 1/2 inch cubes or slices
To be mixed into a marinade
curds - 1/2 cup
ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
chilli powder - 2 tsp
kasuri methi, dried fenugreek leaves - 1/2 - 3/4 tsp
garam masala - 1/2 tsp
chopped coriander - 2 tbsp
chat masala - 1 tsp
oil - 1 tbsp
salt to taste
Method
1. Put the paneer pieces in the marinade & toss gently. All the pieces should to coated on all sides with the marinade. Keep aside foe about 15 -20 minutes.
2. Arrange the paneer pieces on the wire rack in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C & grill for about 15 minutes. ( I do not place the paneer on the wire rack, it messes up the oven with the marinade drippings. I put them on skewers & arrange them on a tray.)
3. Remove from oven & serve hot with Dahiwale Pudina Chutney.
P.S -:- For those of you who do not have an oven, you could shallow fry them on the tawa or hot griddle. Cook it on one side, then turn them over & cook again.
