What can I say.........
It tastes as wonderful as it looks !!!
Comes out perfect too, every time you make it.............
Ingredients
Paneer - 250 gms
onions - 3, finely chopped
dhania- jeera powder (coriander-cumin powder) - 2tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
chilli powder - 1 tsp
garam masala - 1 tsp
ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
kasuri methi ( dried fenugreek leaves) - 1tbsp
tomatoes - 5-6 medium sized
capsicum - 1, sliced
fresh cream - 100 gms, thats about 1/2 a cup
a pinch of sugar
salt to taste
oil - 2-3 tbsp
Method
1. Most recipes of paneer ask you to fry the paneer. But i don't fry them at all .I just cut them to size & use them as they are. But if like the fried taste , you can cut them into wide strips & lightly fry them & then place them in luke warm water
2. Place the tomatoes in hot water for 10 minutes. Remove the skin & blend the into a puree.
3. Heat the oil in a kadhai, add the onions & fry untilgolden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste & fry for another1/2 a minute.
4. Add the dhania-jeera powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala & kasuri methi & fry again for a minute.
5. Add the tomato puree & capsicum & cover & cook for 5-6 minutes.
6. Add the paneer, salt & sugar & cook for another 2-3 minutes.
7. Finally add the cream, stir well & serve immediately.
