Kuzhi Paniyarams from Grand Sweets

It is raining here in Vadodara....

I am sitting  & thinking longingly of how good it would be to tuck into some wonderful hot & crispy Kuzhi Paniyarams. But I am feeling too lazy to do anything about it. I will have to get  up & do the whole thing myself...........no...thats too much effort. I can't.

Wish I were back in Chennai ...........I would just drive down to The Grand Sweets & order a couple of plates of it. !!!

Oh ! the sheer bliss of those wonderful Kuzhi Paniyarams !

The Grand Sweets ones are particularly fantastic. ( in fact ..when ever I think KP (thats what I am going to call them now )...I can only think of the Grand Sweets ones...)

I can just imagine myself waiting near the counter where the KP maker is turning all those fluffy puffed up little balls of paniyaram batter in oil...........

feeling all hot & sweaty & yet standing right next to those large stoves ..............

waiting impatiently for those little balls to turn golden & crisp........

& soon she will stick these little skewers into them to check if they are done & dish them up in those plates made from leaves.

& on the side she will add some kind of a sambhar & a most awesome spicy onion chutney ever !!

Slurp ! Slurp ! I almost feel like Jughead now ................I am drooling terribly.

& let me tell you....when you have had a plate of those KPs,

you will definitely feel close to Nirvana !!

Do hope you get a chance to taste the Grand Sweets Kuzhi Paniyaram very soon.................
